
A Regional Business Development Manager (Niagara Region) is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within a designated geographic region, building relationships with key decision-makers, and driving revenue growth by strategically managing sales activities, market research, and customer engagement within their territory, often collaborating with internal teams to execute sales plans and achieve regional sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification:
Conduct thorough market research to identify potential new clients, understand industry trends, and pinpoint business opportunities within the assigned region.
Relationship Building:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at potential and existing clients within the region through networking, outreach, and regular communication.
Sales Pipeline Management:
Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline by identifying qualified leads, qualifying prospects, and progressing opportunities through the sales cycle.
Sales Presentations and Proposals:
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and customized solutions to address client needs and secure new business.
Negotiation and Closing Deals:
Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with clients to close deals and achieve revenue targets.
Customer Account Management:
Manage existing customer relationships, identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Competitive Analysis:
Monitor competitor activity and market trends to maintain a competitive edge and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing, sales support, and other internal teams to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies.
Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
Track sales performance, analyze sales data, and provide accurate sales forecasts to leadership.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in sales and business development, preferably within the relevant industry
- Strong understanding of the regional market dynamics and customer landscape
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build rapport and establish long-term customer relationships
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends and opportunities from sales data
- Proficiency in CRM systems to manage sales pipeline and customer information
- Leadership and team collaboration skills, mainly when working with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of the industry and regional market
Compensation: $55-$75k + profit sharing
This is a non-commission role for the right person. We focus on the whole health of the company rather than building short-term relationships, and our compensation package reflects that approach. This position is located in the Niagara Region of Canada.
